Description
This is the Evotech Performance frame crash protection kit designed for the Kawasaki Ninja 400 from 2018 onward. The kit is engineered for maximum protection and ease of fitting, attaching to the bike’s existing mounting points with no modifications required so that fitment is straightforward. The crash bobbins are manufactured from high performance engineering polymer, a material chosen because it can help protect the motorcycle’s fairings and bodywork in the event of a spill by sliding rather than digging in. The mounts are CNC machined from aircraft quality aluminium and colour anodised for a clean finish and long-term durability. As supplied the kit includes two bobbins, the mounting brackets, all the necessary fixings and fitting instructions, so everything needed for installation is in the box. A useful feature of Evotech’s design is that individual replacement parts are available, meaning that after a crash you can replace only the damaged components rather than buying a complete new kit, which keeps the cost of repeat protection lower. Frame sliders like these are a common first upgrade for sport riders because they add a layer of defence for the fairings, frame and engine cases against the cost of low-speed tip-overs and slides.
