Description
This Evotech Performance frame slider kit, part number PRN013644, provides crash protection for the Kawasaki Z650, Z650RS and Z650 Urban from 2017 onwards. The crash bobbins are made from a high performance engineering polymer that acts sacrificially to help protect the bike, absorbing and taking the brunt of an impact in the event of a slide or fall. The crash protection mounts are CNC machined from aircraft quality aluminium and powder coated black for longevity and a clean appearance. The kit includes two sliders, the mounts and all the necessary fixings, and easy to follow pictorial instructions are available to guide installation. Evotech notes the bobbins are easy to fit, simply attaching to the bike’s existing mounting points so no modification of the motorcycle is required. Frame sliders of this type are designed to limit damage to bodywork, engine cases and frame components during a low-speed crash by giving the bike a sacrificial contact point. Because the polymer bobbins are designed to be sacrificial, Evotech can supply individual replacement parts when needed after an incident. The result is a practical and discreet protection upgrade for the Z650 and Z650RS that adds crash defence while integrating with the bike’s existing structure.
