Evotech Performance Main Frame Crash Protection is designed to help minimise damage to the frame, bodywork and engine of the Kawasaki Ninja 650 during a fall or low-speed tip-over. The crash bobbin heads are manufactured from a high performance engineering polymer, chosen to absorb and slide on impact rather than dig in, while the mounting stems are CNC machined from aircraft quality aluminium for strength. These crash protection bobbins are described as incredibly easy to fit and simply attach to the bike’s existing mounting points, so no major modifications are needed to install them. The aluminium components are powder coated black for longevity, helping the kit resist corrosion and maintain its finish over time. All required fixings are supplied with the kit, meaning everything needed for installation is included in the box. By positioning durable sliders at key contact points, the system is intended to take the brunt of an impact and reduce the cost and severity of damage to expensive components such as the frame and engine casings.
