Description
The Puig Brake Cooler 2.0, reference 22076N, is a front brake cooling system developed for the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R (ZX636) from 2024 onwards. Inspired by Puig’s experience in MotoGP and World Superbike competition, it is intended for high-performance sports and track riding where the front brakes are worked hard and heat build-up can affect performance. The system consists of two ABS plastic covers, one fitted to each disc and caliper unit, which together form an air channel. This channel directs cooling airflow onto the brake pads and disc as the motorcycle moves, helping to dissipate heat more effectively. According to Puig, this reduces brake temperatures by an average of around ten degrees Celsius, which can help maintain consistent braking feel and reduce brake fade during demanding riding. By keeping the braking components cooler, the cooler can also contribute to longer pad and disc life. The covers are designed specifically for this model to fit the existing caliper mounting points without modification, and they are available in finishes such as black to suit the bike’s styling. The Brake Cooler 2.0 is a bolt-on upgrade aimed at riders seeking better thermal management of the front braking system on the ZX-6R.
