Description
This is the MRA VarioTouringScreen windshield for the BMW G310GS. MRA is a German screen manufacturer whose windshields are developed through extensive wind tunnel testing to improve aerodynamics and rider comfort. The VarioTouringScreen combines a taller touring-shaped windshield with a spoiler blade across its upper edge that can be set to several different positions. The screen is effectively in two parts, with the upper piece able to tilt on multi-position posts so you can optimise where the airflow hits or flows over the rider. Adjusting it helps reduce wind pressure and turbulence, giving a more comfortable upright riding position at higher speeds. It is supplied pre-drilled so there is no measuring or power-tool work needed for fitment, installing in place of the standard screen. MRA screens are made from a specially developed thermoplastic that is shock resistant, rigid and UV resistant to avoid clouding over time, and like all such screens they benefit from careful cleaning to avoid scratches. The VarioTouringScreen is typically offered in clear and smoke finishes. It is a sensible upgrade for G310GS riders who want greater wind protection and the ability to tailor airflow to their height than the small standard screen provides, especially on longer rides and faster sections of road.
