This R&G Racing crash protector kit (CP0567BL) is an Aero Style, non-drill design made specifically for the Kawasaki ZX-6R from 2024 onwards. The non-drill designation means the protectors install without cutting or drilling into the bike’s fairing or bodywork. Crash protectors, also known as frame sliders or bobbins, are designed to keep a motorcycle’s frame, engine, fairing and other critical components off the ground in the event of a crash, drop or slide, helping to minimise damage. R&G’s Aero Bobbins use a stylish, aerodynamic, teardrop-shaped design that improves on the company’s original round bobbins. Each bobbin is fitted with a removable end cap that hides the fittings, giving a sleek appearance that R&G says looks superb on both road and track. The protectors are mounted using de-embrittled high-tensile steel bolts, which are engineered to bend on impact rather than shear or snap, helping the assembly absorb and manage crash forces. R&G describes its crash protectors as market-leading and insurance-approved, designed using high-quality materials to minimise the effects of a crash. This version is finished in black. Note that this kit is intended for the ZX-6R, not the smaller ZX-4R.
