This Evotech Performance radiator and oil cooler guard set is designed for the BMW S1000XR from 2020 to 2023, protecting two of the bike’s most exposed and expensive cooling components from damage caused by road debris and stone strikes. The guards are secured in place using the bike’s original mounting points with no cable ties, giving a clean, factory-fitted appearance, and require no modification to the motorcycle. Each guard features an elegantly designed matrix pierced with hexagonal holes to optimise airflow while providing maximum protection from road debris. The guards are CNC machined from aircraft quality aluminium and finished in a durable black powder coating for longevity, with a combined weight of around 420 grams reflecting a strong strength-to-weight ratio. The kit includes any required hardware. On a fast adventure-sport machine like the S1000XR, which is ridden hard over long distances and varied surfaces, the radiator and oil cooler are particularly vulnerable to stone strikes that could cause coolant or oil loss and overheating, so guarding them is a sensible precaution.
