Description
The Puig R19 Frame Sliders, reference 9389, are crash protectors designed to increase the protection and safety of the Kawasaki Z900 from 2017 onwards. Puig states they ensure full defence for the chassis and engine, guarding these components in the event of a fall. The sliders are made of nylon, a highly resistant and durable material that is well suited to cushioning impacts, with each nylon end measuring 59mm in height and 85mm in width. The design is engineered so the sliders do not extend beyond the handlebars or touch the ground before the footpegs, which keeps the motorcycle’s compact size and helps avoid unexpected scrapes during riding. Beyond protecting the chassis and engine, the included rubber endings are described as providing additional protection to the rider’s knees. By default the sliders come with a set of grey rubber pads, and Puig offers an additional kit in other colours so owners can further personalise the bike’s appearance. Puig notes that assembly is very easy and that the part ships with an instruction booklet, allowing riders to fit the sliders quickly and start using them. The R19 sliders are a model-specific protection solution for the Z900 naked motorcycle.
