Description
This R&G Racing Engine Case Cover Kit is a pair of covers designed for the Ducati Panigale V4, V4S and Speciale from 2018 onwards, as well as the V4R from 2020 onwards. The kit contains two covers, a left-hand side case cover and a right-hand side case cover, which protect the engine cases against damage in the event of a slide or low-speed crash. R&G engine case covers are made from four-millimetre polypropylene, which R&G specifies for its strength, durability and good looks. By taking the brunt of an impact, the covers help shield the underlying alloy engine cases from grinding damage that could otherwise crack a case and lead to oil loss and expensive engine repairs. The covers are approved by BSB and MotoAmerica, meaning they meet the requirements of major racing organisations and are suitable for track and competition use as well as road riding. R&G states that these covers are made in the UK. This is the black-finished version of the kit. Fitting the covers is a sensible precaution for owners who want to protect one of the most expensive and vulnerable parts of the Panigale V4 platform with a proven, race-approved product.
