Description
The Puig Downforce Race side spoilers (reference 21858) are aerodynamic winglets developed for the Kawasaki ZX-6R Ninja from 2024 onward. Directly inspired by the latest technical innovations seen in MotoGP, these side fins are designed to generate greater air pressure at the front of the motorcycle during high-speed sections, improving stability and confidence when cornering. They are manufactured from 4mm thick acrylic, a thickness Puig selects to balance strength and lightness so the spoilers can withstand aerodynamic load while keeping added weight low. Functionally, the fins produce an anti-shimmy effect and help improve the bike’s balance during hard front braking, contributing to a more planted feel under heavy use. The spoilers are secured using 2mm metal brackets finished with an anti-corrosion coating and a black textured surface, giving a solid and durable installation on the fairing. They are offered in several finishes to suit different bikes and tastes, including glossy black, matte black, green and a carbon-fibre look. As a model-specific kit for the 2024-onward ZX-6R, the spoilers mount to the bike’s existing fairing points. Riders should follow the supplied instructions to position and fix the winglets correctly for the intended aerodynamic benefit.
