Description
This Evotech Performance kit combines front spindle bobbins and rear spindle bobbins to provide axle based crash protection for the BMW S 1000 RR from 2019 onward. Evotech has developed an innovative spindle bobbin system which allows the bobbin head to rotate on impact, made possible by an aluminium spacer system that provides a solid core for the location of the nylon bobbin head, increasing overall durability and impact resistance. Each spindle bobbin kit comprises two nylon bobbins, two anodised aluminium spacers, a stainless steel spindle, nuts, washers and a hollow spindle nut when required. The bobbins are retained by roll threaded stainless steel spindles for increased strength, with the outer produced from injection moulded nylon reinforced by a strong aluminium core. The robust aluminium and injection moulded nylon combine to protect the rear wheel, sprocket carriers and lower swingarm on both sides, while the front bobbins protect the fork and front axle area. Fitting to the existing axle points, this style of protection is designed to absorb and deflect impacts during a slide or fall, helping reduce damage to expensive wheel and suspension components.
