Description
This R&G Racing radiator guard (RAD0205BK) is designed to protect the vulnerable radiator on the Yamaha YZF-R3 (’15-), as well as the closely related YZF-R25 (’14-), MT-03 (’16-) and MT-25 models. A motorcycle radiator sits exposed at the front of the bike, where it is constantly bombarded by stones, grit and road debris thrown up during riding. Because radiator cores and their delicate fins are made from soft aluminium, even a single small stone can puncture or bend them, leading to coolant loss, overheating and expensive repairs. The R&G guard is made from pressed aluminium and features a neat, seamless mesh pattern that forms a solid net in front of the radiator, catching debris before it can make contact with the core. In addition to its protective function, the guard improves the overall look of the bike by tidying up the area in front of the radiator. This version is finished in black, and R&G also offers the same guard in other colour options. It is designed as a bolt-on accessory that follows the contour of the radiator. By shielding the radiator from impacts, the guard helps preserve cooling performance and protects an expensive, hard-to-replace component.
