Description
This BMC air filter is a high-performance replacement element for the Royal Enfield 350, covering models such as the Bullet 350, Classic 350 and Thunderbird 350, with part number FM783/08 referenced for these applications. It fits into the motorcycle’s original airbox in place of the standard OEM paper filter. BMC builds its filters with a full moulding production system, which allows the characteristic red filter to be realised from a single mould with no welded joints in the corners, reducing the risk of breaking and keeping the rubber frame pliable and conformable for an airtight seal inside the airbox. The filtering element consists of multi-layered cotton gauze treated with low viscosity oil, capable of filtering particulates down to about seven microns while increasing overall airflow compared with the roughly ten micron OEM paper element. This increased flow is intended to support engine response and performance. The filter is supplied pre-oiled and ready to install. Because it is a cotton element rather than disposable paper, it can be washed, re-oiled and regenerated using the appropriate BMC regeneration kit, making it reusable across the life of the bike. For Royal Enfield 350 owners it offers both improved airflow and reduced long-term filter replacement cost.
