This is the Evotech Performance frame crash protection kit made for the Ducati SuperSport 950 and 950 S from 2021 onward. Evotech designed these crash protection bobbins to be incredibly easy to fit, attaching to the bike’s existing mounting points with no modifications required. The mounting brackets are CNC machined from aircraft grade billet aluminium, and all brackets and stems are powder coated black for longevity and corrosion resistance. The crash bobbins themselves are manufactured from high performance engineering polymer, a material intended to help protect the rider and the motorcycle in the event of a spill by allowing the bike to slide on the puck rather than catch and tumble. The kit comes complete with all the required fixings and includes easy-to-follow pictorial installation instructions so the job can be done at home. Evotech also makes replacement pucks available separately, so after an incident you can renew just the worn or damaged slider rather than replacing the whole kit. Frame sliders of this type are a popular protective upgrade for sport machines because they add a defensive layer for fairings, frame and engine cases, helping limit damage and repair costs from low-speed drops and slides on road or track.
