The BMC FM01115 is a high-performance replacement air filter designed for the Yamaha Aerox 155 from 2020 onward, and it also fits the Yamaha NMAX 155. It is installed in the scooter’s original airbox in place of the OEM filter, with no modifications required. Made in Italy, the filter is built from highly performing materials that allow an increased air flow combined with more efficient filtration, guaranteeing containment of impurities as small as 7 microns compared to the 10 microns of a standard OEM filter. BMC filters are made of a multi-layered cotton gauze soaked with low viscosity oil and covered with an epoxy-coated alloy mesh, which protects against petrol fumes and oxidization due to air humidity. The filter is produced using BMC’s Full Moulding system, which forms the characteristic red filter from a single mould with no welded joints, helping it avoid easy breakage. This single-piece construction also gives the filter a durable, long-lasting rubber surround that adheres well to the airbox. The filter is supplied pre-oiled and ready to install. Because it is washable and reusable, it can be cleaned and regenerated using the appropriate BMC regeneration kit, offering a long-term and environmentally friendlier alternative to disposable paper filters.
