Description
The BMC FM01101 is a high-performance replacement panel air filter designed for the Triumph Tiger 900 from 2020 onward, including the Tiger 850 Sport, Tiger 900 GT, and Tiger 900 Rally variants. It is installed in the motorcycle’s original airbox in place of the OEM filter, requiring no modifications to the bike. Made in Italy, the filter uses highly performing materials that allow an increased air flow combined with more efficient filtration, guaranteeing containment of impurities as small as 7 microns compared to the 10 microns of a standard OEM filter. BMC filters are made of a multi-layered cotton gauze soaked with low viscosity oil and covered with an epoxy-coated alloy mesh, which protects against petrol fumes and oxidization caused by air humidity. The filter is produced using BMC’s Full Moulding system, which forms the characteristic red filter from a single mould with no welded joints, helping it resist breakage. This construction provides a durable rubber surround that adheres well to the shape of the airbox. The filter is supplied pre-oiled and ready to fit. Because it is washable and reusable, it can be cleaned and regenerated using the appropriate BMC regeneration kit, making it a long-lasting alternative to disposable paper filters.
