Description
The BMC FM569/08 is a high-performance replacement air filter designed for BMW K1300 models, including the K1300S, K1300R and K1300GT, covering model years from 2009 onwards. It is installed in the motorcycle’s original airbox to replace the OEM air filter, requiring no modifications to the bike. The filter features a one-piece construction without a gasket that could break. It is made of highly performing materials that allow increased air flow combined with more efficient filtration, guaranteeing containment of all impurities as small as 7 microns, compared to the 10 microns typical of OEM filters. The filter media is a special cotton gauze impregnated with low viscosity oil and covered with an epoxy mesh that resists gasoline vapours and oxidization. This construction protects the filter from petrol fumes and from oxidization caused by air humidity. All BMC air filters are supplied pre-oiled and ready to install. Because it uses oiled cotton rather than paper, the filter is fully washable and reusable, and can be cleaned and regenerated using the appropriate BMC regeneration kit rather than being discarded. This allows owners to maintain and reuse the same filter over a long service life instead of repeatedly purchasing disposable replacement filters.
