Description
These R&G Racing Carbon Fibre Tank Sliders (TS0009CG) are designed to protect the fuel tank of the Ducati Panigale V2 and Streetfighter V2, as well as earlier 899, 959, 1199 and 1299 Panigale models. They are made from carbon fibre reinforced with DuPont Kevlar, a combination chosen to offer excellent crash protection and wear resistance. Each slider is specially moulded to fit perfectly onto the tank, positioned on the most pronounced corners and the areas most likely to make contact with the ground in the event of a crash or drop. In a fall, the sliders take the impact and abrasion rather than the tank itself, which can otherwise be dented or scratched. This means they could save you from having to replace an expensive tank. Application takes only minutes and requires no permanent modification to the motorcycle. The tank sliders are made in the U.K. They are used by the California Superbike School and are approved by the British Superbike Championship (BSB) and the MotoAmerica Series for use in competition sanctioned by those organisations. The carbon finish also complements the styling of the bike, combining genuine crash protection with a clean, race-inspired appearance for riders who value both function and looks.
